The days of Broadbeach living in the shadow of Surfers Paradise as a tourist hot spot are well and truly gone. Broadbeach holds its own in every possible way with its amazing beach, array of dining options, world class shopping and the Gold Coast’s only casino.
Some of our favourite things to do in the Broadbeach area include;
Head to the beach
Broadbeach is another one of the Gold Coast’s favourite beaches, but honestly, what beach on the Goldie isn’t amazing? We are so lucky to live here! The parks set alongside the beach at Broadie (as the locals call it) are arguably the best on the Gold Coast, with a fantastic variety of equipment to keep kids of all ages entertained. There are also plentiful grassy areas to lay down a rug and chill beneath the trees if family activities aren’t your thing.
The Kurrawa Surf Club at Broadbeach is worth a visit, with wonderful views and reasonably priced meals.
Get ready for some serious retail therapy!
Pacific Fair…forever a Gold Coast icon, has had impressive new facelift and all we can say is ‘wow’! The new Centre is world class and features the Gold Coast’s largest selection of retail from luxury brands to high street favourites and all the major retailers you would expect to find at a Shopping Centre of this size. The ‘resort’ precinct is nothing short of spectacular and the perfect spot to relax atop one of their luxurious day beds and review your new purchases.
There is also an impressive selection of food options on offer, from food court favourites through to fine dining.

Eat, drink and be merry
Broadbeach’s dining and bar scene offers something to satisfy every palette and budget. With a range of international cuisines on offer and a bar scene sure to surprise with hidden gems and underground nightclubs.
We suggest checking out theurbanlist.com.au/goldcoast for the latest offerings in the area.
Try your luck…
If you fancy your chances at blackjack, poker, roulette or even the good old chocolate wheel, you can’t pass up a visit to The Star (formerly Jupiter’s Casino). To be honest, even if you aren’t a gambler it is worth crossing the highway for the dining and bar experiences now on offer which have elevated the casino to a 5 star venue. We love their Japanese offering Kiyomi for a special dinner, as well as the the Garden Kitchen & Bar for late afternoon into evening drinks.
